On this edition of The Loaded Radio Podcast, Scott Penfold talks one on one with Benji Webbe, the charismatic lead singer of reggae-metal pioneers SKINDRED.
For those unaware, SKINDRED are a Welsh reggae/dub infused heavy
metal band who formed in Newport, Wales, in 1998.
The band also embrace elements of punk, hardcore punk, dancehall,
jungle, ska, hip hop, drum and bass, dubstep, and various other
influences into their music. Known for their incredible live
performances, SKINDRED have won several awards including "Best Live
Band" at the 2011 UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards and the
"Devotion Award" at the 2011 Kerrang! Awards.
7 albums in with another on the way, this band is a relentless
attack of sonic crunch and hypnotic rhythm that need to be
experienced. In the talk, Benji discusses what SKINDRED
have been up to, that one time he sang for KORN, his side-project
with METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo and tons more!
