This week on The Loaded Radio Podcast, Scott Penfold talks one on one with AT THE GATES frontman Tomas Lindberg.
AT THE GATES are more than just a death metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden. They are easily one of the most influential and honored bands within the subgenre. Formed in 1990, AT THE GATES were a major representation of 'Gothenburg-style' melodic death metal. Prior to their first break up in 1996, AT THE GATES released four albums, ending with and including 1995's 'Slaughter of the Soul', which has been seen as a landmark in the mid-1990s death metal scene.
After reuniting for a one-off tour in 2008, AT THE GATES would reform reformed once again, and go on to release three more albums: 2014's 'At War with Reality', 2018's 'To Drink from the Night Itself' and their latest outing, 2021's 'The Nightmare of Being'.
